If it had not been for her own intense suffering, Miss Havergal could not have told the story so sweetly and beautifully, and because her writings were a part of her own life, they have been doubly helpful to me. I think there are few, if any, natures capable of sympathizing with and helping those in trouble thought first being led into the same paths. Oh, how wonderful it all is, how surely and steadily God is leading where we do not see His hand or hear His step.
Then seek to please Him,
Whatsoever He bids thee
Whether to do- to suffer- to lie still,
He led us,
If in it all we sought to do his will.
